Ms. Allison Dunn’s practice is devoted exclusively to family law and related matters, including divorce proceedings, non-dissolution “FD” proceedings, post-divorce disputes, post-divorce modifications of agreements and orders, child custody and parenting-time related disputes, prenuptial & post-nuptial agreements, and domestic violence proceedings.
In addition to being an experienced and tenacious litigator, Ms. Dunn is trained as a Collaborative Law attorney and has extensive experience mediating disputes. She understands that clients are seeking counsel during one of the most emotionally difficult and financially challenging times in their lives. She approaches each matter with compassion and the understanding that each client has a unique set of challenges and financial and emotional goals that must be addressed individually.
Ms. Dunn earned her undergraduate degree from Boston College in 1998. She graduated from Rutgers Law School – Newark in 2003, where she served as an Editor of the Rutgers Law Review and a board member of the Rutgers Public Interest Law Foundation. Ms. Dunn is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and New York. Prior to joining Gomperts Penza McDermott & Von Ellen, LLC, she practiced commercial litigation in New York City.
In addition to private practice, Ms. Dunn volunteers her time as a pro bono family law attorney with Volunteer Lawyers for Justice. She is also a member of the Union County Bar Association and the New Jersey Bar Association.
