Ms. Jamie Von Ellen is certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Matrimonial Law Attorney and devotes her practice exclusively to helping clients resolve family-related issues, including divorce, dissolution, child custody, alimony, and equitable distribution. Ms. Von Ellen is also well experienced in prenuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
Ms. Von Ellen has been honored by 16 consecutive years (2005 to 2021) of recognition on the “New Jersey Super Lawyers” list and has four times been distinguished as one of Super Lawyers’ Top 50 Women Attorneys in New Jersey, most recently in 2021. Ms. Von Ellen has been recognized consistently in The Best Lawyers in America© from 2016 through 2021, and in 2014 she was selected by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys as one of the Top 10 Family Lawyers in New Jersey.
Ms. Von Ellen has a thriving arbitration and mediation practice. She is a trained court-approved Family Law Mediator included on the roster of Mediators for Economic Aspects of Family Law Cases in multiple counties. She has been regularly appointed by the courts in Essex, Middlesex, and Union Counties as an arbitrator, mediator, Guardian ad Litem, parent coordinator, and law guardian in family law matters. Ms. Von Ellen is also an experienced Collaborative Law practitioner, having completed her training in 2014 through the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education.
